Zev Chafets on Kerry’s Chilling Emotional Detachment

October 20, 2004

In a piece in the New York Daily News Zev Chafets describes an experience he had with John Kerry concerning Israel and Kerry’s emotional detachment. Kerry’s approach to everything, according to Chafets, is “essentially cerebral.” I would add, “calculated.” He’s not just cerebral, flat affect, no emotion, no apparent conscience, but coldly calculating in everything he does, with his self-interest always at the forefront. Of course you Kerry supporters may disagree. But do any of you want to tell us he’s warm and cuddly? That kind of makes me laugh. But this is no laughing matter.
