PC and The Gay Lobby Target Campus Business

February 16, 2005

Rutgers University’s “The Daily Targum” reports that “The Grease Trucks,” fast food trucks that have served faculty and staff for years, have run afoul of the rules of political correctness because of certain allegedly offensive sandwich names. According to the story:

The complaints have mainly come from members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community at the University, who said they have experienced a different side of the trucks – one they see as being homophobic and intolerant toward sexual minorities on campus.

What, by the way, is a sexual minority? Would that be the male species? I thought there were only two sexes and that there were more females than males. But what do I know? At any rate, the university has apparently clamped down on the company, forcing it to cover up the offensive names on its signs. Just another example of intolerance in the name of tolerance and censorship in the name of free speech. The Left should be proud.
