Social Security

President Bush says he won’t take away benefits from seniors, but there is a problem for younger people if we don’t solve the looming problem. He was asked whether privatizing SS will cost us $1 trillion, like critics say. He’s answering it generally, but he needs to deny that it will be a $1 trillion loss. That’s clearly disputed.

Now watch Kerry demagogue on the privatization. It’s an invitation to a disaster, citing the CBO. Oh, and Kerry says it will cost $2 trillion. Why stop there? Why not $50 trillion. Again, see the NRO article I cited earlier, which addresses this.

Now Kerry says he has a record of fighting for fiscal responsibility. Pres. Bush won’t let that one go.
