Castro Unwittingly Validates Bush

February 2, 2005

Cuban Dictator, Tyrant, Despot Fidel Castro said that he closely watched President Bush’s inauguration speech on television and saw “the face of a deranged person.” He also condemned the Bush administration for its link to corruption to torture. Oh yes, and he referred to the United States as Bush’s corrupt, capitalist “hell.”

President Bush should be feeling affirmed after condemnation from one of the world’s foremost thugs. This is beginning to look like a pattern. You will recall some of the nice things Saddam and Osama have said about him.

I’m just wondering how Ted Kennedy’s speechwriter had time to get to Cuba and coach Castro so soon after helping Teddy with his anti-Bush, anti-military, anti-America speech to Harvard. The wonders of modern technology!
