Iraqi Troops Performed Well — Somebody Tell Joe Biden
January 31, 2005By all accounts, the Iraqi troops performed very well in their security role yesterday — and this was a very big day. Do you remember what a big deal Joe Biden and John Kerry and others, even Senator Lugar, as I recall, were making over our lack of progress in training Iraqi troops? I wish someone would follow up on Biden’s statements and ask him what he thinks about their performance yesterday? Will he still stick by his story that only — was it 4,000? — Iraqi troops had been properly trained?
