Ashcroft Takes a Shot at the NY Times
November 16, 2004The New York Daily News reports that John Ashcroft made this delicious comment in LA at a meeting of the International Association of Chiefs of Police yesterday:
The New York Times had a headline to the effect that, despite the drop in crime, prisons are overcrowded. Well, DUH! Prison cells fill up when you catch the bad guys.
And, what’s more, the chiefs cheered when he said it. Excellent.
