11 States to Vote on Gay Marriage

October 30, 2004

Here’s an AP story on the eleven states who will be voting on the gay marriage issue in one form or another on Tuesday. Grassroots action brought the issue to the ballot in six of the states and the legislatures in the other five. “Earlier this year,” according to the article, “anti-gay-marriage amendments won more than 70 percent of vote in both Louisiana and Missouri. Louisiana’s was later struck down in state court.”

I’ve heard and read that these amendments are expected to pass in all eleven of the states. Does anyone out there really believe John Kerry profess to be against gay marriage if the voters in most, if not all states, weren’t overwhelmingly against it? But his gay and otherwise liberal constituencies know that, so they’re not the least bit concerned with his little ruse. Just more winks and nods.
