The Hillary Effect
April 4, 2005As I was reading this AP story in the KC Tribune (registration required) saying that Russ Feingold is raising “his profile and thousands of dollars with his new PAC,” it occurred to me that we have one thing to be thankful to Hillary for: we don’t have to speculate or worry about other Democratic presidential candidates. As long as Hillary is in the running, these other Dem candidates are virtually irrelevant. The nomination is hers for the taking and we can focus on her and what she’s up to. Not that we ought to be preoccupied with her now. But it doesn’t hurt to keep a sharp eye on the enemy, and it helps to know that she will be anointed — we know who we’re going to be dealing with.
