Oh Boy — Greenspan Now Against Bush Tax Cuts
March 16, 2005The Syndey Morning Herald is reporting that Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan is doing mea culpas over his support of the Bush tax cuts in 2001. And this admission came under questioning from presidential aspirant Hillary Rodham Clinton. Swell. Seems that Hillary took personal umbrage at the Bush cuts undoing the wonderful budget surpluses her husband takes credit for.
You have to admit: these Dems are relentless in their assault on the president. Why not attack his tax cuts retroactively? What better way to undermine his effort to extend them into the future? If it’s not the Iraq war or Social Security they’re undermining, they might as well be attacking his tax cuts.
