Kerry Even Defensive In Closing Statement

October 8, 2004

He says he will never give other nations veto power over our national security. Thanks for reminding us, Senator, that you needed to remind us. I don’t remember it coming up lately, but I’ve been busy typing too so I may have missed it. But at any rate, thank you for reminding us of your Global Testism again. That was a generous gift in closing.

President Bush made a strong finish — I probably surprised you with that assessment. I’ve never seen him more at ease, more comfortable, more articulate, more effective, more focused, more on point, and more unyielding as to any of Kerry’s bogus points. Big, big win for the president. Big, big win. It will be a poll-bouncer folks.
